No matter the size of your business, all workspaces and offices need to be kept clean and hygienic.
Cue contract cleaning.

Contract cleaners offer their cleaning services at regular intervals to ensure your space is kept consistently at a high standard to keep staff and visitors happy.

What is contract cleaning?

As mentioned above, a contract cleaner, such as One Planet Cleaning, can come to your workspace (office, factory, manufacturing facility etc) on a regular basis.  Depending on the requirements of the business, that interval could be daily, weekly, monthly or as needed.

Every business has different requirements – an office space might need vacuuming, wiping down surfaces compared to an industrial site which requires powerful machinery to keep the space clean and fit for business.

You would need a quote based on your space (you can read our articles of pricing variables here) but some common cleaning requirements/inclusions are:

Interior – vacuuming and/or mopping floors, wiping/dusting surfaces in offices, kitchens, bathrooms and any other areas.  Rubbish removal, sanitation requirements are all available. Carpet steam cleaning can be organised depending on how often is appropriate.

Exterior – High pressure cleaning walkways, paving, driveways and more.  Window cleaning is optional (again this depends on the client requirements and is always discussed in advance to ensure it’s maintained).  If the contract cleaner has the appropriate team and skill, grounds maintenance is available.  This can include:

  • Maintaining trees and shrubs
  • Mowing and edging lawns
  • Watering and fertilising
  • Controlling weeds
  • Sweeping driveways, footpaths and roads
  • Suppressing the spread of dust
  • Containing wildlife with fencing and other measures
  • Asset maintenance, including recreational facilities and swimming pools

How much does contract cleaning cost?

How long is a piece of string?  There’s so many factors that can come into play such as the size of the space, frequency of cleans and inclusions required as mentioned.  When seeking a quote, ensure you know what is included as part of a standard cost structure and what other options you might need.

In the meantime, check out our office cleaning calculator for a quick, approximate quote on office cleaning.

Choosing a contract cleaning company

Some key questions to ask a cleaning company before getting started includes:

  • How often can they clean your space
  • How long to expect each clean to take
  • Can they clean after hours
  • What cleaning products and equipment they use
  • What insurance do they offer
  • Have the staff passed police checks and health requirements

Most importantly, can they accomodate your exact needs?  As commercial cleaners, we understand we are here to make your life easier and not get in the way.  We know we’ve done a great job when you can come to work and know that it’s all taken care of.  If you’d like a quote on contract cleaning services – we’d love to hear from you.  Email us at or call us on 1300 175 263.
